This place is a staple.  Great BBQ but also it's very consistent and it hasn't changed at all in years.  The  staff is incredibly nice and the hospitality is second to none.  I had my two kids with me and the manager made sure I was comfortable and overall this place is a great hometown feel kind of bbq joint.  I routinely order the turkey because it's perfect every time with a sweet potato and salad bar.  Also the best BBQ sauces

Rob & Mary Scruby have been serving up barbecue from a real oak fire pit for nearly two decades. When they were located in Tamarac under the name Scruby's, next door to what is now Metro Diner, we often ordered takeout on the way home from work, or ate dinner there. One day, they closed up shop and moved to Davie. They reopened under the name Rob's. Located in a plaza on S.R. 84 just west of Pine Island, it's been close to work so I've been there a couple of times. Honestly, nothing much has changed. They still offer great service. The manager I've met is Marilyn, and she and the rest of the staff are friendly. Last night they had a balloon lady (I don't know what to call her, but she's not a clown) going around and making animals and other thingies for the children. The first time I visited, I ordered a brisket platter and I was so looking forward to it, but it wasn't flavorful. I had to reach for the BBQ sauce, which I would prefer to leave out. This time I ordered the Smokehouse Burger. Angus beef smothered with Cheddar Cheese, topped with onions, crisp applewood bacon and an onion ring; served on kaiser roll with chipotle mayonnaise. And it came with French fries, which I had to sprinkle with salt (not good for me). Call me weird if you'd like, but I'm one of the few who, just as I can listen to music and be able to hear each instrument individually, I like to be able to differentiate the natural flavors in my food without having to sauce, salt, or spice my meal up. If I was blindfolded and they brought a platter of meats, I want to taste chicken, beef, or fish and know the difference. In this case, the beef didn't taste like any other meat. It was bland--no taste! Conversely, my friend liked her Sloppy Joe with their special recipe sauce mixed with pulled Pork and cole slaw. She said she was expecting a "Manwich," but was pleasantly surprised. Withal, we had a good time and Austin served us well. In fact, he went out of his way to make a fresh pot of coffee and brought it with ice cubes so my friend could make an iced cafe! Will we return? Yes! Maybe I'll order BBQ chicken next time--I might be fortunate enough and it'll taste like brisket!

I have been ordering from Rob's Family BBQ for as long as I can remember and it is the best barbecue place in Davie. My all-time favorite things to order are the baby back ribs, brisket, and the Smokehouse Specialty burger. The sauce that comes with the brisket is incredible. Definitely get the potato salad, too!

From the moment we walked in I knew we were gonna love this place! The hostess was so friendly & the decor reminded me of Cracker Barrel :)Our waitress was also friendly and attentive; prices are really reasonable .... food is awesome. Had chicken wings  ($9 for 10!) and they were crisp & meaty, standard Buffalo sauce but they were good! Lunch portion beef brisket smoked 14 hours was so tender. Be sure to try their vinegar & pepper BBQ sauce, it was so good! Also the cole slaw is what I wish I could make at home; its diced small & isn't swimming in dressing.  it! $12.99 for 2/3 rack of baby backs were fall off the bone tender and had a delicious sauce; pretty sure the other 1/3 rack goes into the baked beans (they were good too)!

When I say five stars I mean FIVE stars! This BBQ joint is right in my neighborhood in Davie, FL. My entire family and I fell in love with this place since the first time we stepped foot there! I don't know why it took me so long to write them a review. First of all, the family atmosphere makes you feel like you're eating BBQ at your Uncle's house, so nice and cozy! Second their prices, their specials and their portion size can't be beaten! I mean a HUGE rack of ribs, PLUS coleslaw, PLUS amazing baked beans, PLUS one big baked potato, PLUS a delicious slice of garlic toast for $10.99 on Tuesdays?! Come onnnnnn!! But seriously the best part is the assortment of delicious homemade BBQ sauces that you get to slab all over your food! Tonight was my last time eating there before moving out of the state and I will truly miss this place. Austin, our server was fantastic! My family and I did some serious damage over there! We ordered a ton of Food! Hehe! But we ate it all and all of us have leftovers for lunch tomorrow ;)

Just as good as it was when Scrubys. Interior just as was before which I opt not to do. They really need an interior redo makeover update for me to dine here. Spent $90 for family of four takeout hello way too much but that's what my hubby wanted. Doesn't get any better than Davie folks!

Eat here just about weekly .  Their sliced pork is very very good.  We just ask to have ours cut a little thicker .  Pulled pork is best around,  especially when you add my favorite mustard based BBQ sauce the offer. It's one of six choices.   All very good.  Best macaroni salad , potato salad , beans and slaw in Broward County, hands down.   Service always friendly and restaurant is clean

I'm an old-school South Floridian and I've been going to "the pit" and "Shorty's" for my whole life. A good friend of mine just introduced me to Rob's and I can only say, it was love at first sight, and second, third, fourth, I can't wait to go back again. When people talk about the meat falling right off of the bone, and while it's hot, this is just the best example. Babybacks on Monday and Tuesday special, it's not to be believed, but I would pay full price anyhow!

I ordered takeout tonight. Their special was ribs and chicken combo served with Cole slaw, beans, choice of potato and garlic toast. It took about 10 minutes for my order to be ready. Very hot and delicious.  We frequent Robs at least 3 times a month. We always ask for our server "Karen" when we dine in. She knows exactly what we like and usually order. Sliced pork and beef are our favorites. They have some of the best sweet tea in Davie! It's always fresh. Great service!
