We are conveniently located near bus lines on both Madison and MLK. We love SPP! Our son has been so nurtured here, and the community is wonderful. The missions of social justice and environmentalism run through the curriculum and the school's decisions. Parent education sessions are so helpful, we have had discussions about emotion coaching, how to talk about race, and more. As parents we are learning from the school right along with our children. Highly recommended!!

Amazing experience for my daughter and as a parent. Engaged teacher, active classroom, strong focus on play and emotional development. As a co-op every parent is an active participant in creating a community where children and adults can progress. It takes a village, to be a village.

SPP has been a fantastic experience for my wife and I as well as our son.  The teachers and parents are incredibly nurturing for the kids and my wife and I have learned so much from the community.  We love the space, with close proximity to varied outdoor activities and availability of different cultural experiences right in the community center building.  We have also enjoyed getting to know the other families and children that our son plays with.  Overall, its just been a very rich, and wonderful experience.

Seattle's Progressive Preschool was the best transition to school life our family could have had. The support and learning I have received as a parent has been immeasurably helpful for the whole family. The teachers and Parent Educator have passed on so much knowledge and love to me and my child. Working for the school through a coop job has helped me make wonderful connections all built around supporting our kids. Last - but not least, the social justice and green mission makes me feel like our preschool choice has a positive affect on the community and world around us.

SPP is great. It has been good for my daughter, but als really good for us as parents. When I was looking for a preschool, part of my goal was to get to know some adults and hopefully make some friends, as well. Well, we have and I feel very lucky to have done that. Our daughter LOVES going to school and very much enjoys it. This is her second yearThe school itself is great, as well. It should be noted, this is a co-op so there is a lot of parent involvement. It can be hard work at times, but very rewarding and it really makes a difference in the community and I think it gives the kids something that they don't normally get in a regular school.

Our granddaughter has had a great year at Seattle's Progressive Preschool. This is a small, nurturing preschool with a curriculum focusing on caring for our environment  and our community.  It's a cooperative preschool so parents participate in the classroom and in the running of the school.  If you have a child between the ages of two and five and would like to be part of a caring community, Progressive Preschool might be a good match!
