My boyfriend and I decided on a little weekend getaway to Hood River and made reservations at this place. Cute little hotel tucked away in the trees with clean rooms and a great view. Reasonably priced with friendly service as well. I recommend if you are staying in the area!

We had business to attend to in White Salmon across the river. My broad says I know a joint we can stay in you'll love. So's I'm up for that, and we hops in the boiler and over the river we go. Woulda gone through the woods too, but there weren't any along the way.She was right, as usual. They accommodated us and our two dogs without a hitch. People who don't have dogs are miss'in out. They let cha know when undesirables are near and keep you warm on cold nights. Three dog night right? Anyway, I digress. The room was very clean, the bed was good, a partial view of the big Columbia River, plenty of hot water, the grounds were very well taken care of and fun with the Xmas lights illuminated. Some folks will always find something to cry about, real or imagined. Perfection is just an illusion or a dream you have when you've soaked up too much eel juice. This joint is a wonderful place to stay. If you aren't a dumb bunny, next time you're over that way stay there, check it out, the Hammer would never lie to a pally. That's the crop.

The location is perfect if you like to see the river and take photos.  The price is right and the front desk staff was very nice. We stayed in a room toward the back, older and rustic feel but clean and comfortable.  We will be back.  You can walk next door and view the beautiful waterfall, take photos or maybe even go into their lounge.

A hidden Gem. Inexpensive, clean, and a wonderful view of the Hood River. It has places to sit  outside while you enjoy the view. Rooms are of two types: You can enjoy the view or have a larger room without a view of the river.

Great hotel with beautiful gigantic trees surrounding it.  Our room was big and spacious with a view of the courtyard. It was clean and housekeeping was very attentive.  The only downfall was the early Saturday wake-up from housekeeping wanting to clean our room. We were still sleeping at 8:30am and the room didn't get cleaned later on. That's a bit early for a room cleaning,  at least for us.

This place reminds me of all the mountain lodges and motels my parents used to make me and my sister stay in while exploring the Northeast on summer or skiing adventures. The staff are extremely friendly, the rooms are secluded and amongst the trees, the feel is roadside inn-ish, and the new building offers some very cozy rooms.I would recommend asking for the new building as the rooms were extremely clean, quiet, and had a great balcony to enjoy a beer other beverage of choice in the outdoor elements. The rooms are also very inexpensive and offer some great amenities for the price. My only regret is that we only spent one night here and used it as a base instead of a place to come home to.Overall, this inn is great. I would highly recommend when staying in the Hood River area. It is outside of the main town so it is more quiet and has fewer guests and foot traffic. It is a short drive into town and you won't miss out on any of the town's action.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the Westcliff Lodge based on some hotel ratings but was very very pleased with this hotel!  The room was very spacious!  It was very clean with microwave and fridge.  The beds were comfortable.  Best surprise was the dual shower head in the bath room.  I was out hiking the Gorge and was ready for a hot shower and bed and this was the perfect place for both!

We recently spent 3 nights at Westcliff and could not be much happier with our choice of accommodations.  Located only a short distance offer I-84 and one exit from downtown.  River view rooms were sold out when I went to book, but we were happy with our courtyard room that overlooked the well maintained grounds.  I noticed a few people availing themselves of the BBQ's for their evening meal.  Our king, nonsmoking room was clean, spacious and included a small private patio.  We spent time one evening at dusk just sitting on a strategically located bench overlooking the river.

Great value. When they say... if its not broke, why fix it? They mean it! LolThis place is an older lodge that is somewhat retro. CLEAN and comfy, as well as very well kept. The landscape is beautiful and the view of the river was beautiful. I recommend this place.

This a very comfortable lodging. We have one of the handicapped accessible rooms with a reserved parking space. The walk in shower and higher toilet with grab bar are appreciated. No view from this unit, but there is a fenced patio. Unit is very clean, but the decor is rather stark with no pictures on the walls. Otherwise, the amenities are great - even wine glasses and a wine bottle opener. Would definitely stay here again.
