Came up here with a group of friends before a wedding that we were going to just out of Eugene OR. Before I go any further however, this is the first time this Australian has ever been to a place like this.  I've probably spent a combined total of traveling the United States from Australia for six months over the past 7 years, normally staying at the "traditional" style hotel but never in the great outdoors. I must admit it was a pretty cool experience, made better by visiting this place with a group of my American friends to enhance the "real" cabin experience. As the old saying goes "location location location", and they couldn't be closer to the truth with this place. It was amazing with the views of the lake in the forest and the snowy mountains backdrop. The cabin wasn't spotless, however I looked passed that due to the country based cabin it was. In saying that, the kitchen, bathrooms & bed were pretty clean. There was pre-chopped would at your disposal for the wood fire inside or if you wanted to cook hotdogs on the bbq. One thing you must watch out for is the shallow boat launch pad and the millions of mosquitoes that want to suck you dry (we were there early July). But I did love this place and would definitely want to go back and maybe bring some of my Australian mates to experience this true American cabin lifestyle.

I think that this place is awesome!! You won't find another resort like it, it has cozy cabins up too large 2 family size cabbins. Even some rooms if, its just a couple, and a few kids! Great get away. The food is amazing. A little bit pricy. You can rent boats to go fishing, go on hikes, go cross country skiing, and even go horse back riding! The riding was our favorite part of our stay. The horse are beautiful and sweet. The guide was awesome, and with out him the ride would not have been as fun. (The guide) Bryan is sweet and took us on amazing trails!! You really should stay here its an amazing location.

Lot of negative reviews here but my experience was different.  The lake is beautiful, yes there's a train track somewhere but the lake is big enough to find a quiet corner.  I didn't stay in the lodges, just fished  and ate a breakfast burrito.  SAUSAGE GRAVY in the burrito. Awesome.

This is a wonderful rustic campground with tent sites and comfy cabins. There is a lot of different things to do from fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding and disc golf. While it is called a resort, it offers a lodge with a restaurant, coffee bar and fireplace lounge - it also is a family run campground with a very private and rustic atmosphere. I hesitate to recommend this place, because the quiet and privacy is the best part of this campground. But I love this place and will definitely be back again. To all of you that like the best of both worlds when you get away from it all, this is the place. But remember, Odell Lake Resort is old school. A campground that remains cozy, friendly, trusting, and respectful of each other. Let's just be respectful and let it stay locked in time.

I would like to thank John, the manager, for being so accommodating and helpful to me in planning and fulfilling a fabulous trip for the students, chaperones & directors of the North Eugene High School Band. His staff was very helpful and went out of their way to assist us in any way they could. The students are looking forward to coming back next year for another practice retreat, snow time and smores around the fire pit.

The North Eugene High School Band would like to thank you for the most amazing time during our band retreat to your quaint & cozy lodge on March 6th & 7th. Our band retreat was a huge triumph, due in part to your helpful & friendly hospitality. All 12 of our cabins were clean, comfortable & very relaxing which allowed us to have a wonderful time and helped make our practice sessions in your fire side room a great success. Thank you again for a great time had by all, we plan on coming back next year and doing it again.

The staff was really friendly, the lake was beautiful. The food was a bit expensive for what it was, and Sunday night we waited over an hour for our food. The room was small but clean for the most part and we got extra pillows when we asked for them.. Overall it was a nice stay in a cute place, and suited our needs just fine.
