Being new to the Baton Rouge area finding a Vet was very easy. Dr. Mouton and his staff are outstanding when it comes to your Pet's health and well being. They are very thorough and gentle when examining your pet. The prices are extremely fair for the excellent quality care given to your pet. Dr. Mouton and his staff are very caring and understanding of your pets needs and explain in great detail the pros/cons of what is going on with your pets health. Great place for all your of pet's health care needs.

I am accustomed to taking my pets in for an annual visit, unless a health issue or injury occurs in the interim. In the last few years, I am told that my pet(s) should come in at least semi-annually. I don't necessarily have a problem with that, but as a rule I don't do it because of the expense. Now, when I bring my pets in for whatever reason, I'm told, "your pet is due for this". It seems like they're never not due for something. When I brought my dog Benny in for a follow-up injection that is part of ongoing treatment for a torn crucia, I was not told beforehand that there would also be a "prof exam/consult (Reck)" fee. While I do not question the medical value of these procedures, they add up. I was told there will be follow up visits. Unless Benny's condition gets worse, I don't see the need for these. I was already given a course of action to follow. There seems to be an aggressive marketing strategy for veterinary care in recent years. Medical care & staff at SP are great

The doctors and staff are wonderful and friendly. They always remember our dog's name. I always feel comfortable boarding him. He sometimes doesn't want to leave. A great veterinary clinic.
