I live In Hilo, and every time we come into Kona, I've got to get my UMEKES on! I've loved this place since the first time.! Food is tasty, staff is awesome. One particular girl, Haley, makes our visit that much more pleasant. And we're lucky to have her wait on us 99% of the time we go there. Turned my brother on to this place(he lives on Oahu) and he too, has to get his UMEKES every time he visits. Pleaaaase open one in Hilo! I promise to be there everyday!

Are lunch not too long ago it was absolute fire I had a poke bowl and it was great so fresh and the servers were great too. It beat my expectations 10 fold I could eat that poke bow breakfast lunch and dinner everyday forever they also had dope Mac salad and some other stuff I'm not a drinker but they had great brews ready to Quinch your big kine thirst. Nothing small about the portions up get way more than you pay for you'll definitely leave with a full belly a full wallet and a happy Mouth. If your thinking about grabbing a quick poke bowl at the kta or Safeway or somewhere else give umekes a shot first! You want fresh fish? They got em! Fresh veggies? They got em! Beer so cold make your tongue feel frozen? They got em don't eat your can tuna at your boring day job go live it up and get some fresh ahi bowl and rice and da beer you'll be glad you did!

A tip from a local lead us two, carpetbaggers from the mainland, to this unassuming spot. Ok we didn't have carpetbags, but we did have huge backpacks. Great poke!

Best poke on the Big Island! My husband and I had the Avo, Kanaka and Hawaiian pokes and the kimchee tako; all phenomenal. We would come back every day if we could :)

Enjoyed trying very authentic Hawaiian food that is super super fresh. They have a great selection of Kona beers too and they accept credit card. This is probably a must do if your visiting Kona.

Loved the food in this place and had an enjoyable lunch on their side patio. Excellent value, with good authentic poke, and delicious strawberry lemonade.Friendly staff and fast service, we went for late lunch. I guess this place should be crowded if you go earlier.Tried to repeat for dinner another day, but they close too early for us.Will come back if go to Kona again!

I think that this is the place on the big island that has the best poke. They have a variety of poke, such as salads and sashimi. They have seating outside which I think is a great place to eat at. This would be my first choice if I were to get poke.

My wife loves poke (I hate raw fish) but she said this was some of the best if not THEE best poke she's ever had and it was super super cheap too compared to everything else on the island

This small location, off the strip was recommended to us by a local for having the best poke. It certainly did not disappoint. Come hungry because there is a ton of food.  They had five or six variations of poke during our visit. The teriyaki version was out of this world. We ran into a couple pilots during our visit; one said he always stops here during a layover and I can see why.  Be sure to check the hours as I believe they close earlier than you would expect.

finally we find something we really like and it tasted like the Asian food. The fish bowl is pretty fresh and I choose "sweetie "- the hottest favored dish they have.
