This is the place to go for a poke bowl! Umeke's has very fresh fish, great veggies, and excellent rice, and they have some amazing lemonade that they sell in mason jars. If you're travelling, get a jar of lemonade and keep the jar with you!

I'm not an expert on poke by any means, but this is definitely the best I've had. I went with the big boy bowl, and if you're going to go this route make sure you bring your appetite. If you're unsure of which one to get just ask to try them and they'll be glad to help you out.

I chose the fresh fish bowl with my fish choice of Monchong with the garlic aioli sauce and my side was the fern stem salad. It was cooked to perfection and very yummy! The fresh lemonade was super good, although pricey, but was in a big jar, so plenty. The only downside was that it is just counter service and you go outside and eat at a picnic table.

Umeke's is a fun local restaurant and sports bar in Kona that serves Hawaiian plate lunch meals, and specializes in their many Poke dishes. My husband and I met up with a college buddy and his wife at Umeke's and their poke dishes did not disappoint! They are also known for their fish tacos.Service was good, seating was fast, and the food and beverages did not disappoint. The best part was being able to reminisce about college with my friend, while watching our college sports team play in the Elite Eight right on the large screen TVs by the bar.My only complaint is that my dessert, a Haupia Sweet Potato popper was brought to my table completely frozen. I had to pound the popper with my fork until I decided to bring back home and let it melt before eating. Poppers and desserts should not be served frozen like a popsicle. Highly recommend Umeke's if you are craving good quality seafood and a variety of poke in Kona.

Fresh Ahi, tasty poke bowls, 2 scoops rice, 1 choice Poke and 1 side.  Kinda pricey.  Parking is tight but we got lucky.  Small outside dining area

AMAZING poke! Tried the avocado poke, shoyu poke this time. Last time had tried everything single type. Plan on trying everything this time as well. Very fresh, great quality, great people!! Wish it was also open for dinner also!

Outstanding, only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the seating situation.   Food and service both excellent.  Had sweet chili spiced avocado and ahi poke bowl.  Absolutely delicious.  Will definitely go back again on our next visit here!

I must say this place is pretty exquisite. Went here with my family and friends multiple times and never had a chance to write a review so here it is.FRESH SEAFOOD FOSHO~First: I ordered the grilled shrimp which comes with 4-6 decent size shrimp dripped over with this garlic aoli sauce and I gotta say... BOMB. The portion size was huge, but the price was I must say suit the order. It also came with a choice of a side order (I ordered cucumber kimchi), rice seasoned with furikake. The crunch of the grilled shrimp reminded me of ocean waves crashing into me earlier that day. Second: I ordered the giant ass jar lemonade and my god that was the best lemonade I ever had. It was most likely because Kona is the hottest island in hawaii, but I just tell myself that it's still delicious. Other things to order: The Poke, which ranges from flavoring (soy sauce, mayonnaise, etc...) and there are also other side orders besides seafood if you are a meat person. Location: Small and quick, dress casual and there is outside seating!Overall: 4/5  deliciousness, but some disclaimer. The restaurant is different... I just recently went to that location and was completely heartbroken. I had 4 shrimps with giant ass rice and I was like dude even a poor person can get more food. So this location is the one to go too!

I don't know why it says that it's closed on Sunday because I just had an awesome meal and it's Sunday. This place has really good authentic Hawaiian food and an awesome happy hour, and a friendly staff. It was packed with people and our wait was about 15min so be prepared to wait. It's worth the wait!

Ate dinner here on a friend's recommendation.  Locals mixed with tourists like us -- nice crowd.  Great staff, very helpful re choosing meal.  One of our dishes was disappointing -- but the rest were great.  Incredibly fresh and well priced.  Would absolutely recommend and visit again.
